Autocatalyst
Three
Way Catalysts (TWC) usually operate
in a closed loop systems including
a lambda sensor to regulate the
air-fuel ratio. Under these conditions
and with high efficiency, the C2-series
catalyst can simultaneously oxidize
carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons
to carbon dioxide and water while
reducing nitrogen oxides to nitrogen.
Our C2 TWCs are designed not only
to work with petrol engines running
under stoichiometric conditions
but also with diesel engines having
more emissions on nitrogen oxides.
In comparison to TWCs, traditional
Oxidation Catalysts (OC) convert
carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons
to carbon dioxide and water and
decrease the mass of diesel particulate
emissions, but have little effect
on nitrogen oxides.
Excellent
Ceramic Substrate
Our dominate material
of ceramic substrate for catalytic
converters is porous cordierite,
which can be used at temperatures
up to 1300¡æ. Because of its nature
of crystallization, chemical composition
, cordierite has extremely low thermal
expansion coefficient. A high geometric
surface to volume ratio from 0.2
to 0.3 m2/g is achieved through
high cell density of 400 CPSI. Other
features like low pressure drop,
chemical inertness, fast heat up
time, and structural stability at
high temperatures make our ceramic
honeycomb an ideal catalyst substrate
media for both oxidation and reduction
catalyst.
80,000
km Least Life Time
As air quality remains
one of the most important issue
in the environment protection, EURO
IV emission standard will be effective
on
Jan 1st, 2005
, which will allow
all new Autocatalysts to have a
least life time for 10,000 km. Our
current products C2-Series meets
the newest EURO III standard and
have a life time expectation for
at least 80,000 km.
